Participants in the second edition of the “Transnistrian dialogues: Women’s edition” shared with us their impressions of their participation in the project.

Natalia Balaban, lawyer: I would like to thank the organizers for this unique project with outstanding women and speakers. We were able to get useful information that can be applied in practice.

For a month, a group of women from both sides of the Nistru River participated in our workshops which focused on communication, the role of women in decision-making and the importance of informal diplomacy in conflict resolution. We also covered the economic empowerment of women from both sides of the river and the role of international partners in developing cooperation between the two banks of the Nistru.

Nadejda Manastrly, Finance Assistant, UNDP Moldova: Seminars and trainings on behalf of IPIS are always distinguished by their atmosphere and quality approach to their product. IPIS always manages to select cool, versatile and talented participants.

Irina Smirnova, Head of Press Service of Balti City Hall: It’s very important for us to feel needed and to know that we are heard, that our opinion really matters. I discovered women from the other side from a completely different perspective for me. I didn’t think they were such lively, open and creative women.

Elena Mazurok, activist, entrepreneur, Tiraspol: Truth is born in dialogue and if we see the Transnistrian conflict as a problem to be solved, I think this is the most suitable platform for that. We women can solve many problems.

This year “Transnistrian Dialogues: women’s edition” is implemented with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland.
