Meetings with residents of Moldova from eight districts of the country, factual refutation of common myths about EU, video stories about successfully implemented projects with EU financial support, TV debates and, most importantly, communication, these are the main results of the program “EU in Moldova: Perceptions and Reality”, which were presented by three NGOs, including the Institute for Strategic Initiatives within the framework of the final conference.
We continue our virtual tour through Moldova and meetings with local activists. This time, IPIS experts discussed with young volunteers from the Singerei district the existing instruments of social campaigns. Our team of experts talked about the existing ways and platforms of financing various initiatives – crowdfunding, how to get closer to your goal with the help of journalists, as well as methods of cooperation with local authorities. In the coming months, we will accompany the activists from the Singerei region in achieving their goals and implementing some projects. The meeting took place within the programme “Vocal social campaigns at local level”, which is implemented within the Grant Programme “Development of civil society at local level in Moldova”, financed by the EU and the Conrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).
During an online meeting IPIS team met the volunteers from the Cimișlia’s Youth Centre and representatives of the Cimislia Local Association to discuss existing tools for social campaigns. IPIS experts shared their experience in effective communication with journalists and local public authorities. In addition, we talked about how to create an efficient NGO, as well as how to attract foreign funds that are destinated to Moldovan NGO sector. In the coming months, we will accompany the activists from the Cimislia region in achieving their goals and implementing some projects. What are the tools for communication with local public authorities? How to make a journalist your ally in achieving your goals? What is the power of informal dialogue and what communication strategies can be used with donors and development partners to attract grants?
The participants in our fourth regional dialogue with citizens, which we carry out within the “EU in Moldova: Perceptions and reality” programme, had the opportunity to share their assessments on Moldova’s relations with the European Union, while IPIS, IPRE and IEP dispel some myths about EU.
This report follows a year of cooperation between civil society organizations (CSO) and think-tanks from Central Europe and the Eastern Neighborhood (EN). It evaluates the capability of the civil society in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine on operational security and exposing illegitimate methods of influence. The second part of the handbook provides reader with step by step security manual involving areas of Cyber, Information, Intelligence and Personal Security which CSOs and civic activists should follow. Brussels and EU countries support both small and large projects. Grigorii Kissa, a young entrepreneur from Comrat, was able to purchase equipment for his heating briquette workshop in 2017 with EU support. Today his business is developing successfully and he even plans to expand it.
