The main goal of the project is to increase the role of women in peace building and conflict prevention and resolution in Moldova. Women from both the right and left bank of the Dniester River take part in the project. During the implementation period several seminars/workshops and discussion sessions are organized on-line, including a final high-level conference.

The programme is implemented with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland and Belgian Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation.

The Transnistrian Dialogues is a programme of the Institute of Strategic Initiatives aimed at reducing
the dividing lines between the two banks of the Dniester River by creating a platform for interaction
between their populations. Every year, we are selecting 40 people and creating conditions for their
rational dialogue.

The programme is implemented with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Moldova.

The overall objective of the project is to make a substantial contribution to overcoming the social dividing lines of the EU rapprochement process in Moldova by promoting informed intra-societal dialogue on the values and norms underlying the Association Agreement and the concrete benefits of modernizing Moldova in the course of the EU rapprochement process. The project team has conducted a series of dialogue workshops on the local and regional level to promote the civil society and inter-ethnic dialogue in the Republic of Moldova (RoM). As an outcome of these activities, the project partners have collected key issues and respective recommendations voiced by the participants that aim at strengthening the social cohesion in the Republic of Moldova. Participants from all regions of the country have contributed to the debate and provided input based on their professional as well as personal experience.

The project “We all are Moldova – what do we know about each other” supported by US State Department is mainly devoted to the ethnic communities of the country. As part of this project, we are shooting a series of video clips that cover 10 different ethnic parts of Moldova. In addition, we plan to conduct a series of seminars in different regions of the country about the detrimental effect of hate speech over the social dialogue in our country.

The project seeked to strengthen the process of national identity-building in Moldova, starting from the regional level and framing it in the context of the EU-Association process. The aim was to involve the ethnically and geopolitically divided population of Moldova and its minorities into a debate on the self-understanding and the value system of a future Moldovan nation and accordingly formulate policy recommendations, since a successful reform policy within the context of the EU Association process cannot be achieved without a successful nation-building process.
