This Analytical Note provides a mapping of reimbursable and non-reimbursable financial assistance provided to the Republic of Moldova by international financial institutions during the first year of the pandemic. The note also contains information on the loan agreements ratified by the Republic of Moldova in 2020. The representative of the NGO “Sigma-Expert” (Tiraspol), Iurie Ganin gave a lecture on “Leadership and ways to develop leadership”. The event took place online for the participants of the program “Transnistrian Dialogues: Women’s Edition”.
The second speaker of the program “Transnistrian Dialogues: women’s edition of Women” was Andrei Popov, Ambassador-at-Large (MFAEI). He gave a lecture on “Diplomacy and the Role of the International Community in Conflict Resolution.
The participants were able to learn about the macroeconomic situation on the two banks of the Nistru River and to discuss potential opportunities for developing their businesses in the region. They met with entrepreneurs who are already receiving grants for business development, but also, through practical sessions, benefited from mentoring in the development of business ideas.
The first speaker of the program was Olga Melniciuc, an expert in access to financial resources, who talked about how to empower women economically through fundraising and project management.
About 40% of Moldova’s population receives information from social networks, which, however, remain fertile ground for the spread of fake news. How are Facebook and Telegram structured and what is their share of responsibility in manipulating information? We discussed these topics with the participants of the second module of the media course held within the “informMD – against misinformation in the Republic of Moldova” project.
The first module of the Transnistrian Dialogues, which took place on 18-19 September in the village of Costesti, Ialoveni district, was dedicated to the media industry. The group of participants of the Transnistrian Dialogues this time consists of 36 people, including young journalists, entrepreneurs, activists and students.
